All of our instructors are IRC building code certified in one or more disciplines with a minimum of 10 years experience in property inspections and classroom instruction. They are all certified members of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).
William GarwoodWilliam Garwood has a Bachelor's degree from Rollins College and a Masters degree from Emory University. With a background of 15 years as a building contractor Bill brings the real world to the classroom. Bill now performs pre-purchase home inspections, provides expert witness testimony in construction litigation cases and has worked with both The Residential Warranty Corporation and The Homebuyers 2-10 Warranty Corporation. Bill is a certified member of the American Society of Home inspectors (ASHI) and is certified by the International Code Council (ICC) as a Residential Combination Inspector and Housing Rehabilitation Inspector.
Robert KirklandRobert Kirkland holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to entering the Home Inspection profession, Bob was employed by the DuPont Company as a research engineer, was on the staff of The Georgia Institute of Technology as a senior research engineer and Associate Director of the Neely Nuclear Research Center, and was employed as Director of Engineering by the Theragenics Corporation. Bob is a retired certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), a retired member of the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors, and is certified as a One and Two Family Dwelling Inspector and Housing Rehabilitation Inspector by the ICC.
Jeffrey NicholsJeffrey Nichols holds an MBA from the University of Maine and has thirteen years of instructional experience in both the academic field, and in private business as well as 13 years as a home inspector. Jeff has spent a professional career in business with leadership positions for both large and small companies in the high-tech manufacturing sector. Jeff is a certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and is certified by the ICC as a One and Two Family Dwelling Inspector.
